Hi,
I'm new here. I've done a search here (and everywhere else on t'internet I can think of) and I can't find any help, so it's down to you lot.
I'm trying to convert MID files to SPF using the tools on Yamaha's website...The ATS-SMAFPhrase1 specifically. If I try to drop my MID file in, I get all sorts of errors- I've worked out the Program Changes, which helped, but there's still a lot I don't understand. In CUBASIS I have a number of settings for the tune that are necessary for it to work- I originally just copied them from an existing tune, and they sometimes work, but I don't understand them!
The first is a CONTROL 55- value 1 is 55, 2 is 1 or 2. Why? What does this do?
The second is PROGRAM CHANGE. This selects an instrument, or specifies the number of drums being used.
Next are BANKSELMSB at 0 and 122, and BANKSELLSB at 32 and 0. I don't know what these are for....
If anyone knows about this stuff, or could point me in the direction of someone that does, I would really appreciate it!
Thanks
