I have Pocket PC 2003 connected to my comp using active Sync. I am using eVC++ 4.0. I just tried out a sample. The first time i was successfully able to build and run the sample. But when I build it the second time. I get the error saying "Cannnot download file <file name> because it is in use on the device. My WinMain function looks like this:
int WINAPI WinMain( HINSTANCE hInstance,
HINSTANCE hPrevInstance,
LPTSTR lpCmdLine,
int nCmdShow)
{
MSG msg;
HACCEL hAccelTable;

// Perform application initialization:
if (!InitInstance (hInstance, nCmdShow))
{
return FALSE;
}

hAccelTable = LoadAccelerators(hInstance, (LPCTSTR)IDC_SWUNIVERSE);

// Main message loop:
while (GetMessage(&msg, NULL, 0, 0))
{
if (!TranslateAccelerator(msg.hwnd, hAccelTable, &msg))
{
TranslateMessage(&msg);
DispatchMessage(&msg);
}
}

return msg.wParam;
}

What do i need to do to properly terminate the program on the device??

One way would be: Start > Settings > System Tab > Memory > Running Programs Tab. Select app name and stop button.
