I have been observing the program the local school uses to grade and also the program the school uses to submit files to people and I have noticed several things wrong with them and didn’t see why there is a program that combines the features. The programs the school uses is Blackboard and Powerschool. Powerschool goes for at least $40,000 and I assume that blackboard goes for around that. Now imagine creating a program that is not only around… oh lets say $40,000 but it combines the functionality of both programs. I can tell you right now however that it won’t be easy. Here are just some of the things that this program needs to include.
-The ability to chose how long each individual class is by choosing the starting time and ending time
-The ability to have a list of kids in the class
-The ability to insert the total points of an assignment and the points gotten and display the percentage and the letter grade
-The ability to then take all of the assignments percents and show an overall percent and letter grade
-The ability to take all of the classes and display the GPA of the student
-The ability to set the GPA for the percent in individual classes (in advanced classes an 100% is a 4.2 GPA)
-The ability to have the teachers select attendants for a student in the class (Absent, late, excused absence, sick, suspended etc…) and then submit the list and attendants to a user IE the secretary
-The ability for students to upload files to there personal account and access it from anywhere
-The ability for students to send files to teachers accounts and have it show up in their “inbox”
-The ability for teachers to post announcements about their class on the students main page
-The ability to have administrator(s) select the maximum amount of space each student can hold on their account
-The ability for the administrator(s) to select the amount of bandwidth each user can use per month
-The ability to have an all-school-forum and have individual forums for each class
-The ability to send personal messages to students and teachers
This is just a fraction of the things that need to be done and I really have no idea how. Once the program is made and it starts to be sold you (and your team) will receive a total of 75% of the profits. We really need your help and it will defiantly pay off.
