Could anyone tell me if we can run both CR viewer 8.5 and CR viewer 11 symultaneously.
Does the 11 viewer run by default?
Can we specify whichever version viewer we want to run?
Thanks for your time.
Urgent, quick reply will be appreciated.

Which viewer is it that you want to run simultaneously? I *believe* that you're supposed to be able to run them all simultaneously. Crystal version 9 and above allows you to run the applications side-by-side.
Not sure how your'e deployed, but I'm migrating from Crystal 8 (no longer supported) using the Web Component Server (WCS) and Java Viewer to Crystal 10 using Report Application Server (RAS) in an ASP application. The API's between 8/WCS and 10/RAS are totally different.
What viewer are you running? I opted to use the DHTML viewer because everything I have read says that Business Objects is relegating Java and ActiveX viewers to the legacy heap. The learning curve to the RAS object model has been a bit steep, but I've worked thru a lot of the issues.

Hi Linda,
Thanks for replying.
We use the active x viewer,
"viewer/activeXViewer/activexviewer.cab#Version=8,0,0,224"
and currently use the CR 8.5 version
So now if I install CR 11, what viewer and what version should I be using.
And depending on the report, can I specify whichever version of CR viewer we want to use?
We are calling it from an HTML file.
Thanks in advance for your time.
