Description:
Lockheed Martin has an immediate opening for a qualifed software developer working in the Oklahoma City area. Our customer is the USAF in support of Air Mobility Command's aircraft maintenance management operations. This is an excellant opportunity to work in an enterprise environment in support of 50,000+ users world wide.
This is a permanent position located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Responsibilites:
Implementation of all aspects of an application design including but not limited to: high performance design, coding, caching mechanisms, security, encryption, state management, error logging, scalability, etc.
Direct hands-on design, coding, testing and implementation of the system(s) based on established architecture and following company standards.
Architecting and developing solutions based on different design algorithms to a set of highly complex problems.
Delivering the required functionality in an agreed upon timely manner.
Undertaking complete projects or stepping-in to an ongoing project and become an immediate contributor.
Mentoring and coach application developers.
Interacting with customers to develop solutions that require multiple resources with different levels of experience.
Working at the lowest levels and take the product through the entire lifecycle of analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation and support.
Requirements:
Possess or be eligible to carry a Top Secret security clearance
4+ years experience developing software applications - if you can do the work your years of experience is irrelevant
Proven track record of designing effective, scalable software solutions
Demonstrate business and technical analysis capability through related experience
Proficient in object oriented and relational database design
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and individually
Ability to step in on projects with little or no guidance or direction.
Full life cycle development
You must have Apptitude and Creativity; you are given a task and you figure out the best way to achieve the desired result
Specific Skills:
C#
ASP.NET - will be moving to 2.0 as soon as released
HTML, JavaScript, CSS
ADO.NET
VB 6 - nice to have
Oracle, Xml DB
Sql Server 2000 & 2005
DB2 for z/OS
RDBMS Design, stored procedures, SQL on any of the mentioned platforms
Understanding of Windows architecture, networks
System administration know how
XML, XSL, XSLT, XPATH, XSL-FO
XML Web Services
Windows Services development
Microsoft Office Products
Basic graphic editing using Macromedia Fireworks
Web and UI design skills
