* Paid: Yes
* Location: Remote/offsite
* Type: Contract work
* Requirements: This is a Windows XP application, which can be done with .NET, Win32, or via a web interface, with the only true restriction being that regardless of what development platform/API chosen, it must meet the design requirements. Networking experience is required as well as an ability to produce "no-fault" software (e.g. crash-proof).
* time frame: 4 weeks

Hi,

Briefly, this project is an experiment to be conducted with x number of participants, where x is divisible by three, as each group in the experiment consists of 3 participants. The participants will be required to go through a series of GUI screens, answering questions, culminating in a group chat session (MSN Messenger-like), with all data retrieved from the experiment (including the chat history) logged on a master server, to which all the clients are connected. This requires some knowledge of network programming.

The nature of the experiments are such that a) they are expensive to run, and b) they cannot be run again if a crash is encountered, so the software must be crash proof, or, at the very least, if a problem is encountered, insulate the crashes such that it is contained within only the group that the crash took place, allowing the remaining groups to complete the experiment.

I have extensively detailed design documentation and experiment walkthroughs, which will be forwarded to any interested parties so that the costs can be assessed to achieve a realistic quotation. I need the price quote to be in Singapore Dollars.
