How to Use Suppressed Formula?

Hi!
i am devleoping a application using with visual basic and crystal reports 8.5. i would like to know

how to suppress the field value when the both entries are same?

like : table.filedname="January"
plz explain.

Right click on the field
Select Format section
Goto Suppress option
There is button labelled x-2
Click that and write this

table.filedname="January"
