Job Title: UNIX Systems Administrator

Essential Functions:
The UNIX System Administrator is a member of a top UNIX System Administration Team responsible for operationally excellent management and operation of the UNIX servers required to keep company web properties running in a 24x7x52 environment. Builds, maintains and upgrades a multitude of Sun and Linux systems. This position requires ability to perform on-call duty and rotation into the Operations Center shifts.

Education/Experience/Knowledge:
Minimum four years Unix System Administration experience
SAN Experience
Veritas experience or training with certification
Bachelors in any of the engineering disciplines or Technical certification in systems management and administration
Solid knowledge of operating system internals, filesystem structures, and machine architectures in a UNIX operating system, particularly Solaris and Linux
Proven troubleshooting skills and ability to understand complex relationships between components of the web site
Experience with common UNIX system administration tools
Working experience with at least one scripting tool, Perl and UNIX shell scripts
Broad knowledge of common computer applications used in Internet computing
Good problem solving skills for technical and software related issues
