I have several systems that i ghost in DOS. Some of the existing ghost images have file names longer than 8 characters. My current boot disk can only show 8 characters of a file. If it is anymore then i get xxxxxx~1.gho, where each x is some character. I can not rename them nor can i recreate them.

Is there any kind of Long File Name Driver that i can load that will allow Norton ghost to see the long file name?

I am currently using the network bot disk from http://www.netbootdisk.com/

Any advice will be helpful.

DOS only supports 8 characters. You can use LFNback to return to long file names. Google search it.

EDIT: LFNBK is the name of the old dos program.
