Responsibilities
The Digital Home Advanced Development team in the Digital Home Group/Consumer Client Group is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer/Architect to develop the next generation infrastructure to deliver a good Video over Wireless experience. The team is developing a number of digital home software components to enable PCs to play personal and premium content (pictures, audio, and video) on other home devices using home networks for connectivity. The software will ship as part of the East Fork program. Responsibilities include working with other Intel groups within Digital Home, Mobility Group, and Digital Enterprise Group (DEG) to drive requirements, technologies and solutions for improving the performance of streaming media over home wireless networks. Responsibilities may also include developing software architectures and code, and leading a small team to implement Video over Wireless components.
Qualifications
You must possess solid software architecture, design and good team leadership skills. You must have good understanding of networking protocols, and knowledge of 802.11 wireless networks and QoS protocols is desirable. Experience developing C/C++ software on Windows* platforms is highly desirable. Experience with multimedia (audio and video processing) and Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) would be an added advantage.
