We are a profitable 28 year-old software development/manufacturer located next to John Wayne-Orange County airport in Costa Mesa, California. Our software products automate the mailing and shipping departments of commercial and government businesses. We are currently looking for a talented and versatile entry-level VB software developer to join our team to help us develop all phases of our products.
Our software applications contain real time interfaces to external hardware peripherals including mail processing equipment; experience in programming in this environment is a plus, but not required. Our software runs on Windows platforms utilizing VB6, .NET, SQL, Crystal Reports, ASP, and IE6. Familiarity with other DB’s and networking knowledge is a plus.
Candidates should be able to work both independently and in a group, have strong organizational abilities and possess the ability to work effectively with little supervision. We are looking for a person with strong communication skills who can clearly discuss issues with clients, our sales force, co-workers, IT professionals and management. We like to work with people that want to improve their software development skills and also have well balanced interests in other activities.
We offer full benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and a section 125 flex spending plan. We also have a popcorn machine and foosball table. US Citizens or Permanent Residents only.
If this position sounds interesting to you, we would like the opportunity to meet with you. As part of our interviewing process, we have each candidate take a short Visual Basic proficiency test. This is an open book/open source test that allows us to see your ability in a variety of different areas of development. Now if the word "test" scares you, don't worry... it's not a pass or fail. We just want to see your creative approach to problem solving. We will even tell you what kind of questions are on the test before you come in so that you can brush up on areas you might not be familiar with.
If you are still interested and would like the opportunity to work for a great company, please contact me via email at jbeytia@mos-intl.com
Thanks
