I am a non-programmer but am in need of a programmer for a scripting project.
I am looking for a complete list of guidelines to follow when doing this project.
What I mean is, when scripting the admin section, I want the column headers of tables to be sortable, i want rewquired fields on all forms to have an alert box pop-up when the user doesnt fill one out, I want the programmer to use heavy documentation methods so if something happens to him another programmer canstep in and cntinue.
I am looking for a complete list of guidelines for non-programmers to ask themselves and follow when starting a project. I cannot hink of everything I need and know there must be a central list somewhere that people like me can follow. please point me in the right direction.
thanks

Most of the members will inform you to search Google for such lists. However, you might get a few members willing to share some of their own. Personally, I have none that would be of great assistance.

does anyone have any set guidelines that they make programmers follow when working on a scripting project?
