Hi Guys,

Each time i click an irc:// link, the error message "Invalid Syntax Error" appears. It happens under Internet Explorer and Mozilla browsers. Somehow, i need to register the protocol. How can i do this? Please reply.

irc:// supposed not be a protokoll the normal webbrowser understand. But any irc client should support this. You should check MiRC it can read the irc:// URL's. Or get the ChatZilla extension for Firefox.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. But i do have mirc. When i click on the links in mozilla or IE, the clicked channel doesn't pop-up in MIRC. Instead, i get a 404-like page with "Invalid Syntax Error". I'll try the mozilla extension. However, if i get the solution for the IE, that would be great because that's the browser i use more often. :)

You should check the associations those links have and set them ro mIRC. You are very vague on the "links" part. Do you want to explain?
