I'm on DSL and don't like to be connected to internet 24/7 and I normally doesn't use administrator account. However, windows doesn't allow limited account to enable or disable lan connection, the option is grayed out. Is there a way to turn on this option for limited account? I'm on windows 2000 pro

thanks

Not without writing a program that would call the appropriate APIs using administrator rights (administrative account).

The simple way is to unplug the network cable connection from your computer.
