timetable scheduling

I would like to create a timetable scheduling, where the user select the subjects (either enter by user or retrieve from database), and then the algorithm will do the scheduling. After that, the timetable will be displayed. The algorithm will produce more than one different timetable for a set of input(subjects). For more advance, the user can set the constraints such as, which teacher is not available at what time or which classroom cannot be used during a particualr time. I'm attempting the algorithm in VBscript. Could any expoert please help me out with this whole idea??please...
