Job Title: Unix C Developer

Project Description
A team is being assembled to design, build, and test the Limited Remote Desktop Guard (LRDG). The LRDG consists of an ultra-thin remote desktop client; a server-side application built on top of Microsoft’s Terminal Services; and a trusted interface to proxy all communications between the client and server. The project will enable remote desktop access to a variety of applications, and will support remote access to audio and video devices.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
This team member will support the development of relabeling services, for a cross-domain trusted interface (guard). This trusted interface will be developed for Trusted Solaris 8. Therefore a keen knowledge of the TSOL operating system, and/or other trusted operating systems is extremely helpful. This role requires a knowledgeable and talented UNIX developer, with experience writing performance-optimized and secure, concise code.
The ideal candidate will have at least seven years of experience developing software applications for UNIX platforms. At least five of those years must involve significant C/C++ development. The successful candidate will perform expert application coding, to include clear code documentation. Candidates should possess a strong knowledge of information assurance concepts and software engineering methodology.
Required Skills:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Earned degree in computer science, electrical or computer engineering;
· Seven years of related technical experience;
· Very strong background in C/C++ on UNIX (five or more years);
· Verifiable experience in the development of networked applications;
· Experience with multithreaded applications and interprocess communication;
· Knowledge of information assurance concepts.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience with military or intelligence community environments, specifically with cross-domain solutions, security accreditations, and related policies;
· Knowledge of TSOL8 or other trusted operating systems;
· Some experience with any of the following: data encryption, PKI, relational databases, streaming multimedia, proxy applications, firewalls.
Location: This full-time position located in Annapolis, Maryland
Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
