hey guys...

Well i have to install SQL server 2000 on Win 2003 server...the version i have

MS SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 2

and for Win 2003 server .. the required sql version should be Service pack 3,

http://www.microsoft.com/sql/evaluation/sysreqs/2000/default.asp

so i downloaded service pack 3, the issue is...

Do u think i should install sql server 2000 service pack 2 on win 2003 server and then install service pack 3 on it....???? will it be ok...

OR

should i have a SQL Server 2000 SP3 Disk for installation ?

Yes, I 've already tested that configuration and it is OK:thumb:
Service packs are cummulative, It will work even on sp1 database.

even without a service pack.
install sqlserver. ignore all error/alert messages.
after installing, simply install sp3a
