For some reason Windows keeps disabling MYSQL and Apache2. I currently have apache2 set to manual, and mysql to automatic.

As soon as I restart my pc though, they are back to disabled.

Is this something to do with windows thinking that they are a potential security risk? I also have norton 2005, so that could also be affecting it.

If you have apache set to manual then you'll need to start it manually. As to the reason why MySql isn't starting, have a look at this:

http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql/en/windows-start-service.html

You should also check the log files for any startup errors.

No, you misunderstand. Apache is set to manual yes, so that I can start it manually with the monitor. But something keeps setting it to, "disabled."
