What's a good book from which to learn Perl? I've looked around amazon.com but want to hear from people who have used the books. What kind of audience are they geared to, what are they focused on, things like that?

I'd say O`REILLY's Programming Perl by Larry Wall, Tom Christiansen and Jon Orwant. Is probably the book to have on Perl.
You may then want to complement this with a more topic specific book, depending on what you want to use perl for.
