Plz help me to load my asp.net project in a webserver

I hire a serverspace in one of the dotnet server.They give me the space for testing my application.I just copied my project folder in to the specific web folder there.I accessed my site through browser.I got the site.But I get an error about the web.config file saying about the error in customerror tag.I make the mode 'Off'.But it won't work.Now I think the error is bcaz I haven't create a virtual directory in that server for my project.
Is this true.If so how can I do this.
