Firstly ..Hi!!!!
As I am new to this forum :D
ok heres my question......
I have developed printer drivers for Win 98,NT, 2k etc....
the drivers all work fine, no problems.
The Win 2000 & XP driver is MS Certified :D
now heres my problem:
On a fresh ghost of Win 2000, I connect my printer and the New hardware wizard runs, I have all my drivers on 1 CD that is in the drive. I do a default search for the drivers...now this is the problem..the new hardware wizrd selects the Windows 98 driver :s and I can display a list of compatible drivers and in there include the Windows 2000 driver :s
So my question is this, why is windows 2000 picking up the windows 98 driver and not the certified Windows 2000 driver?
We supply all our drivers on 1 single CD (as we support 17 languages) so I can't split up the CD's :D
any help is appreciated.
Thx
