ADO Connection loss detection

Hello, does anyone know whether there is a possibility to detect if an ADO connection is still alive? Or better : I would like to recieve a notification when the connection is lost.

I don't think this is built into ADO, but maybe someone has made a brilliant piece of code that does the job...
