Screensaver help??

hey all,
first off let me say im new to programming, and
i know nothing to very little about it.

My question to you is as follows...
I would like to get a screen saver for my computer that simple shows my desktop as it is happening. i have a DirectX moving background, and i would like my screen saver to just show my desktop as if there were no screen saver, but i do want a password on it. so when i leave my computer it locks, but still shows the moving background.

Is this possible?? do any of you know of a screensaver like this?? would it be hard to make??

I'd ask this question in the WinAPI forum if I were you, sounds like its not really a screensaver you're after but just a way to lock all controls.
