Does anybody use Perl enough to know if there are any nice "real" programming development environments with debugger, etc.. ? Would like something like a traditional development IDE with step by step runtime debugging, etc...
This is for work, so it doesn't have to be free (or even cheap). Would like "the best" if there are good ones.
A quick google turned up these:
Komodo
http://aspn.activestate.com/ASPN/docs/ASPNTOC-KOMODO3___/
Ptkdb
http://www.software-facilities.com/devel-software/p5-Devel-ptkdb.php
But if there are more that somebody knows about, please tell me.
We also are considering Python....any thoughts on Python over Perl. Any great environments out there for Python?
