I need a tool that can use the mouse and the keyboard. Basically some tool that can record macros. I have found one for Windows that works quite ok but not perfect. It is called SmartQA 2.1. The problem with the tool is that sometimes the GUI Im testing is very slow and then this test tool tries to click on buttons that havent appeared yet. http://www.smartutils.com/cgi-bin/download_sqa.cgi But the biggest problem I have is that in the GUI Im testing things are not in the same place always. The GUI Im testing is a Management client for a Telecom node. In some cases when we reconfigure the node some things jump around in the Management Client. This is normal behaviour so the tool that I use must in some way be able to handle this and recogize where in the GUI it shall click. E.g. in one place there are 3 lines with different options. This is how it can look sometimes. 1. Install 2. Modify 3. Read The next time it could look like this. 1. Modify 2. Install 3. Read Anyone of you that know of a tool that can analyse snapshots to decide where to click in the GUI. And I would also prefer if the tool runs on Linux or Solaris. Thanks a lot for your help!
