If you have a choice between programming under windows or Linux, and which ever you choose, everyone will move to that operating system. Which operating system would you choose?

What's that suppose to mean? People who use linux aren't "normal"? In regards to the topic at hand, I agree with Quell that it really depends what you are making. Ofcourse you can have a personal preferencein case of a "general desktop application". Some people may prefer Qt+KDE programming because they may find it nicely structured, and well organised, compared to the mess of MFC. Or they could prefer C# for windows, for it's simplicity and ease of use. I guess it just depends... Latem codeguru.com
