Sincerely, Charu rmsimpson June 5th, 2004, 10:17 AM You don't. There are methods of retrieving the link speed of your LAN via API's, but that's not bandwidth. In order to determine the speed of a connection from A to B, you must be transferring data back and forth from A to B. You must then measure the amount of data you successfully receive in x number of seconds, do some division, and whala you have x number of kb/s. Robert Charu0306 June 6th, 2004, 03:00 AM Robert, I got what you said - it is rate of data transfer, not actually my computer's available vs used bandwidth. But checkout <http://www.bandwidthmonitorpro.com> What they have given here in the above sofware, is NOT Bandwidth, going by our definition. Am I Right? Sincerely, Charu. codeguru.com
