Hi,
We need to make our product Windows2003 server compatible.
The Compatibility Specs requires the product to register all the new
file types created by the product.
I managed doing it using the File Type associate option in .NET setup.
However there are a few file types created by my product that need to be
opened only using Notepad.exe.
How can I associate those file types to Notepad.exe? Can I redistribute
Notepad.exe with my setup? Is that allowed?
What if we register a file type extension as our type, and it conflicts with
an already existing file type on the client system? Is that acceptable?
Any pointers or help would be appreciated.
Thanks and Regards
Ganga
