mackintosh + window.open

Hi again

I have an intranet .NET web site.
one of the users is mackintosh (mec g4 jaguar).
He has an explorer on this machine but I have a problem.
It seems that IE for mac does not recognize the command "javascript:{window.open()}".
does anyone knows why or what should I do?
