cursor problems with xp

I just bought this lap top and occasionally when my cursor passes over a button activates the button but i'm not pressing the mouse button ,is this a new feature with xp,if so can I change this action

you need to change the sensitivity of your mouse touchpad, the sensitivity is to high and even though you're just moving your finger across, you're still pressing it hard enough for the pad to think you're trying to click.

Thanks,I didn't know you can use the pad as right mouse button.
