As I'm only familiar with database programming on basic *ugh...craptacular, I know*, I'm a little lost with all the possible web-based programming languages and their abilities to handle databases.
If anyone has any suggestions as to what methods or programming languages/methods (heck do I know what to call em) I should start to study, those would be very welcomed indeed.
So here's what I'm currently working on:
A movie reviewing site, where each movie has it's own page (be that html, or data retrieved from a common database) completed with images and text.
Each movie page would have different attributes, such as: grades, year of release, and name of the reviewer.
Reviewers would also have individual pages, and these pages would automatically access the database, to retrieve the names of those movies, which were reviewed by this person.
Grades and titles of the movies would also be listed, and different sorting methods should be applicable.
So there it is. I'm not asking how to do this, just what program/programming language to use, and possibly what type of database this would be.
