Hello, I am a VC++ .NET programmer and unfortunatly don't know any other language, not even MFC.
Can someone please help me write code that would allow me to record and play conversations via a phone attached to my modem? I am willing to pay US$100 bucks to anyone who can help me.

Strange. You know Visual C++.NET and don't know MFC ? I've never enountered this before.
You mean you only know .NET and how to use it ?
$100 US seems a very small amount of money for what effectively is a highly technical request. At 10 hours work that's only $10 per hour.

The reason for this is that I basicly started to learn VC++ just around the time .NET came out and all the books I bought insisted on staying away from MFC.
I'm not a rich man I just thought that since everything is answered for free here someone might actually get in the mood to do it a little faster than usual that's all.
How much would you charge me for this?

I'm not a rich man either, but you've bought Visual C++.NET so I would recommend you use it to learn.
MFC is a good starting point.
The help files, and also this site and the net are an invaluable resource to learning.
Bear in mind, the net did not exist when I started, I had to learn from scratch everything I know now.
Learning computer programming is about hard work, followed by more hard work, followed by more hard work and once you've learned everything you think you need to know you're employed and what follows is more and more hard work.
If you're not genuinely interested in the subject enough to try to find out the solutions to your problems yourself, even though it might take months (yes months) then I would suggest a quieter life without so much stress and anxiety about trying to get something to work.
Once you do get something to work after a long time trying, well the feeling you get is the reward.

What you are trying to do with your request is ask blacksmith to build you a car engine.
Good analogy if you get my meaning.

Have you even bothered to look into what's involved ?
I think not.
Throw your money somewhere else. This is a help forum, not a rent boy forum.

Yep I'm a dweeb.
And I don't care.
I care about people who want genuine answers to questions, people who are prepared to spend time trying to get something to work and for whatever reason can't get it to work.
I care about those people.
I don't care about people who think they can just throw money around and expect to get an answer.
Mick, as usual, I took no offence.
So, before I go I would like to make these following observations :
Anyone offering money on these channels must either be
- 1 : Lieing to their bosses about their capabilities to get themselves in their jobs in the first place.
- 2 : Trying to get us (the group) to do their homework for them to get a degree. In which case if they can't do it for their degree, then how are they going to do it in the industrial world ? All that is going to happen is some poor sucker of a company is going to employ an idiot when they think they are brilliant only to find out about the fact when it's too late to sack them.
So, sorry guy : I don't have a whole lot of patience for you.
And if that makes me a dweeb (i.e. considering people who think that hard work can just be bought so they can get an easy pass grade) then so be it.
Darwen.

I do have to agree with darwen on his points concerning people coding for others and the deception that results. However, this forum exists so that people can get help. Don't growl so much.
The original poster shouldn't throw money into this. The coders on this forum are intelligent and willing to jump on a problem just to learn something new. As long as you can prove that you are willing to work hard to achieve the final goal, you have a community of knowledge at your disposal.
