Each time i start windows(2000 Professional) it starts the CD player program and displays an annoying dialog . i have looked in "Startup "and "Services" but i cannot find a way to prevent it from starting with windows (not remove it entirely). any ideas.
By the way any ideas on how to copy music files(.cda) from a CD on to the hard drive.

--> Try Startup Control Panel (startup cpl). It is a program that allows you to configure which programs run when your computer starts.
It is Free.
--> U have to use a program like Cool Edit Pro to convert cda files to wav or mp3.
