I am using a microsoft access front end connected to relational db2 table on an AS/400 V5R2. At the moment I have set it up to access through iseries client access ODBC , which works fine for any data I have entered through microsfot access front end the problem is the data that is already in there that was entered through a number of scripts from a number of sources can't be edited through the access front end it is saying that there is a data type out of range error(#0). If I edit this data directly through iseries navigator to the db2 tables it works fine so the data is not read only. From reading up about the error it seems that it is the difference between ODBC type 2 and type 3 but I haven't found any where that explains how to overcome the problem.
