Hi,


Idea:I am having Win2kServer in Chennai,it's connected in Internet.I am having another server which is in UK.Uk server not connected in internet.Is there any way to connect chennai server to UK server Through internet.

(I doesn't Want to connect through RAS...)

IF anybody having solution for this .

Pls help me....

If I understand you correctly, the UK server does not have internet access? In that case, no, there is no way to connect it to anything else via the internet - you have to have internet access first.


Or did I totally misunderstand your post?

Thanks for your Reply.I have to connect Uk Server without connecting Internet.I have one idea. For eg.(Voip)I Connected my system with net.Using Voip Software we can call local telephone in other countries.Like that way Is it possible connect to System which is connected with local telephone.

That's a difficult problem, as the Internet exists to solve this problem, but we can't use it :)

If you can dial into another computer from the UK server, you should be able to set up a VPN on that second computer which will then connect to the Internet and speak to the other server... or is this also not permissible?

What's the difference between connecting the UK Server to the internet or using VOIP from your server to a UK telephone company to dial-up your UK Server? It'll still be on the internet.

And how are you thinking your going to do this without using RAS?

If you truly don't want ot be connected to the net you either have to use a direct satellite connection (dedicated to you and the other computer only, extremely expensive) Or run a direct connection via cable...also very expensive. just connect to the net and get a good firewall...people should really post why they are doing these outrageous things anyway...it's easier for us to come up with alternatives.
