error '800401e4'

Hi All

i am having the following error while using getObject("java:class_name") from ASP.

error '800401e4'
invalid syntax


Please advise what i could do from here, thanks so much. Would like to know how to tackle the problem, Thanks. Take care

this would be better asked in an ASP forum, as it is:

1) javascript
2) an ASP error code, not actually anything a pure java programmer will have ever seen

a quick google for: 800401e4 invalid syntax GetObject returned a few results but no answer was conclusive. You could try updating your server software? or thinking of a way round the issue without using getObject

i dont know which youre using, .net or vb regular, but you dont appear to be supplying enough parameters to the method?

Thanks so much and really appreciate your reply. However, that doesnt solve the problem, but thanks so much for the suggestion to post the questions at the asp forum. i think that's a good idea and will do as you suggested.
