How do I turn on confirmation for when I close Visual Studio?

How do I turn on confirmation for when I save files? Save all assumes that unchanged files are being saved. This changes the time stamp and is causing problems.

i don't think that's possible, if you have source safe using versions,
all other files will be read only accept that you have checked out..
you can try requesting Microsoft's Visual Studio Feedback
telling about your problem.
