Primary Function:
Qualified candidates will architect, design, and implement components of our Java middleware infrastructure, bringing a firm understanding of J2EE technologies to a senior development team with a variety of technology backgrounds including Java and Oracle.
Job Requirements
Experienced, well-rounded Sr. Java developer specializing in middleware technologies (J2EE, EJBs, JMS, XML Schema, XSL) to join a small team of well-rounded, experienced middleware developers who are responsible for the architecture, design, development, implementation and support of a middleware application used by leading leisure travel websites and custom travel agent tools.
- At least two years of hands on server side Java design and development experience
- Experience with one of the following J2EE technologies, such as: EJB, servlet, JMS, and JDBC
- Experience or familiarity with JSP, JCA, and JMX preferred
- Proven experience in architecting n-tier applications, preferably using JBoss
- Minimum of B.S. degree in Computer Science, or equivalent training
- Experience with Oracle a plus
- Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in performance tuning, load testing, deployments and QA
- Understanding of and experience with full software development lifecycle including functional & technical specification, documentation, QA processes, source control, maintenance and deployments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with end business users and Business Analysts to design new features in Functional Specifications.
- Strong teamwork and proven problem solving ability
