Hi guys,
I couldn't find an active/appropriate forum to post this question. So, I have come back to my faviorite place to post it.
I was asked to guide a person to develop an ecommerce website. I have zero knowledge on hosting an e-com. site. We have decided to use ASP.NET and MYSQL as the backend and we have already painted how our website will look and how to get the data from the DB. Now, the big question in front of us is, how to host it in a website? It is going to have a shopping card (Actually we started with IBuySpy (www.asp.net) kit). Our site should support 1. ASP.Net shopping cart 2. Secured CreditCard transaction 3. Email to the customer as well as ourself (admin) to a new order.
one place where we stuck is the Creditcard processing and we don't know how to go about it. I spent some time searching the web and I couldn't come up with a custom shopping cart supporting webhosting companies. Almost all of them offeres a package which we don't like.
If anyone have done a ecommerce website before (with your code and shopping cart), could you please point me to the right direction?
