Well, the point is that even if it's overly simple, just do as you are asked. That's one of the things about school that's best learned early on ;) School teaches you a lot of things, but it's self-referencing. This means that as long as you do what is expected of you (no more, no less), then everything is fine.
I had classes at university about programming in C where the teacher was unable to explain the concept of a pointer. About 1 third of the class knew it better than him, but well, that's the way things go. The premise of most schooling systems is that everyone should have an equal chance of learning the things that are on the schedule. So if 2 thirds of the class don't have a clue about the stuff, but 1 third knows it better than the teacher, then it's still valid.
So my advice is to just do what is asked of you and maybe employ your time in a better way. One example is that for stuff which you know a lot about, you could help your classmates who don't understand it.

Did you interview everyone and learn this is a fact or is this just
an assumption based on your belief that you're smarter and more
capable then everyone else ? Do you have your own web site
that shows your 'real application dev' work ? Your capabilities ?
Are you doing anything outside of school that challanges you
or are you simply doing class assignments limiting yourself.
No sympathy for you !. :D

I think its unaustralian that you think your better than others.
Tall poppy syndrome, watch out for it. I'm 28 and still on occasion fall victim to it.

I know for a fact that in my grade, i am the only one who can do serious programing...cause i have noone to talk to about app dev except the HOD for IT...
{Do you have your own web site} - NO cause i dont need 1
{Are you doing anything outside of school that challanges you
or are you simply doing class assignments}- Ah, if your refering to app dev, I dont do app dev at school, and all the stuff i have done has been in my own time...if not refering to App dev...Yes i have done work outside of school
{'real application dev' } - Real App dev...as in code, not just appearance, yes...i have nearly finished a Word Processor...which can save/edit/modify Rich Text and Plain (Ascii) text files..I'll post it soon..

Well... If you're programming in VB, that's about as simple as inserting a richedit control on your form and placing some simple wrapper controls that call into the richedit's functionality. Most of the actual coding is already done...
But, being a bit more serious, if you feel that your classes are not taking you where you want to go, I can sympathise -- but not too much. There are many, many students that face that problem every year. Its a problem with the current structure of schooling most places in the world. The solution is as simple as making online education available and allowing students and their parents to choose the course program. The software needs only present the information (which, since it is computer based, can take advantage of all of a computer's multimedia possibilities -- a much more interesting and interactive option than staring at a static whiteboard all day), test the understanding of that knowledge, and certify completion of training (well, most likely also coupled to some user-verification scheme that could be as simple as passwords / keys or as complicated as biometrics). However, the world moves slowly and conservatively in changing its basic structures, and with groups like the education lobbies in various countries opposing such a move, it is still likely many years away.
However, try not to feel too special in your circumstance as that will just reinforce some bad personality traits. And spend your free time expanding your knowledge (which you appear to be doing already). Other than that, try to use the time they steal from you to ensure that you actually do notice things that you might learn from. I hear you are having some problems with printer formatting of your web class work...

Yeah...i know, but its the extra work with it...i have created a full interface with it...including its an MDI...its not just a rich text box control, with a save/open button....but hey, the last app i created with Turbo Pascal was a 825 line app...it was completely in graphics mode....
{However, try not to feel too special in your circumstance as that will just reinforce some bad personality traits}
Are you saying im special...cool...nah...i know, and im not developing bad personality traits...
Ah, anyway...i got BTD in half an hour.....(its 0830 here)...and im at school...

ah, yes...
i get in computer trouble at school all the time...
once for shutting down the entire network (they didnt find out it was me until i told them, long story) :D
adding netcat and cryptcat (2 years ago, when they worked) to all computers on the network, so i could remotely exchange files to and fro... well, i never got in trouble for that, but...
using VNC to log in to my computer and attempting to play battlefield 1942... haha, that was a joke:D
editing the restritry on a few computers to add "Gregory is so cool" to all the right click menu's
and many more.
they never really do anything, cuz they have no idea how the **** i do it or what it does:D
