Hello,

As you seem interested heres my problem ->
I have -
1. 1 Windows 98 SE PC with Internet Connection via LAN.
2. 1 Windows 95 PC.
3. One appropriate laplink cable.
4. 1 working LP1 port on each PC.

I intend to -
1. Access Win98 PC's Internet Connection, Files, Printer from Win 95 PC.
2. Access Win95 PC's Files, Printer from Win98 PC.
3. Provide Access to Win98 and Win95 PC from some/few other computers from the same LAN but different workgroup running Windows XP, Windows 98 SE, Windows 98.

Gurus, Please help.

Thanks in Advance

I intend to -

3. Provide Access to Win98 and Win95 PC from some/few other computers from the same LAN but different workgroup running Windows XP, Windows 98 SE, Windows 98.

Note that I intend to do all these using a laplink connection (direct cable connection)

Both PCs tries to connect to each other but they dont stop trying. Once i was able to share the the files(not Internet Connection and my intention number 3). It happened only for once. I couldn't do it again. I tried both wizard and manual but none works for me now. I doubt that i may am missing some point. I tried with IPX (both with and without Netbios), TCP/IP, MS Client for Network, Enabling File and Printer Sharing, Sharing Resources together and simultaneously.

So, Guru, Would you please tell me the process to fulfill my intentions and the way you did your's.

Thanks
Annajiat

well,first of all..i am not a guru...
you will definetly meet one sooner or later who can tell you the exact process...
but in my case after i connected with the cable...i had to configure the direct connection wizard and after that i was able to share files
note that someone once told me that internet can't be shared in win 95 with win98..
i never tried it so i cant justify it..

did u try to config the wizard?

Yes, I tried the wizard but I'm not sure whether I could do it properly or not.
