I'm developing an application that will automate creation of time sheets for someone that works on a pc (like a programmer)
I would like to get some input from you gurus for a good descriptive name for it.
It should describe that it is a time sheet creation tool, not too long, catchy
Time sheet Pro???
The winner will receive a copy of the program and life time upgrades free :)
any ideas are welcome

I see a lot of jibber jabber going on here that is not even remotely related to a program... let alone programming.
Fine if you want to be like that!
You the super moderator guy should look at the members status before you act!

Having made more posts - i.e. being a senior member - doesn't mean you're welcome to make off-topic posts. This is the proper forum for your question.

Well...the 'Visual C++ Programming' forum is intended to help people with programming problems. Your question does not have anything to do with any programming problem but is rather a general question about finding a name for an application. Given that, it is not suitable within the 'Visual C++ Programming' forum. Therefore it was moved to the 'General Developer Discussion' since the purpose of this forum is to discuss developer-related things.
In both the 'Before you post...' (http://www.codeguru.com/forum/announcement.php?s=&forumid=7) sticky as well as in the Acceptable Use Policy (http://www.internet.com/corporate/privacy/aup.html), it is clearly stated that questions should be posted to the appropriate forum that fits these questions. These guidelines are valid for each and every member of this forum, disregarding of the member status.

Well...this is of course comparing apples with oranges, thus, I do not see any need to further comment on this.
Nevertheless, I am always open to discuss things, however, I will not do it in public.

I agree that the original post belonged in the general Developer area. There is nothing about the post that is Visual C++ related or really programming related.
I would also like to point out that this thread is now worthless of its original intent because its focus has been changed to "why was it moved" rather than "help me with a name". At this point, I would recommend reposting the question (with my permission so that it isn't deleted as a duplicate post) and closing this thread -- which anyonenew reading is likely to stop reading after about the sixth post.
Finally, I'd like to state that it is interesting you compare your thread to the Queue magazine thread. As somewhat indicated in the thread, Queue magazine is paying a fee for their thread that is helping to support the forums. If you would like to pay the same fee, then we would gladly replace the Queue posting with yours - which would put your post in all the forums.
If there are any additional issues about this thread or its being moved, please feel free to bring them up with me via e-mail or PMs.
Finally, I'd like to mention that there are a number of Time Sheet programs on the market. You may want to verify that any names you pick are not already being used. For example, Timesheet Pro and Timesheet Professional are both already used as are names like Track-It and TimeClock Plus. I am personally in favor of "calling a spade a spade". A name like "Timesheet Creator" is relatively straightforward.

Yes..
That name have crossed my mind, It is kind of too long?
Not sure yet.
but yes Joseph is in my buddy list, for sure you will get a copy.
I know there is a lot of programs out there, but with this one, you can export your times to ANY program using its COM api.
ie. The collected times can be accessed from a VB script and put int to QuickBooks for example.
