save as window/download files

i have a table...with th e subject notes that has been uploaded using my system..now i would like to display all the subject notes that has been uploaded in a upload table...and let the user to choose/click on it to save it to a certain directory(sumthing like dowloading the notes)..but i dont know how to display th save as window when the user clicked on the subject...plz help...urgent...

Your post is sort of vague, so it is difficult to answer...

What are these subject notes?

Is all this running on your local machine or is a web server involved?

If there is a webserver involved, you cannot show a save as window that allows you to choose a location on the webserver.

If these dont help, please elaborate...

i have 2 do uploading and downloading notes feature in my system...so now i have a uploading feature...where i store the info about the uploaded items...in a table....but i dont know how to do the downloading notes feature.....tats the prob actually.......
