Hello my new friends at CG..

I found out this site when i was browsing around for information on database management systems. The situation is that I am doing my First year of post graduation in computer science in Pune, India. The course we are doing is M.Sc. in computer science.

We have a DBMS implementation as a project as a part of our curriculum in this semester. There are 12 groups, each of which is expexcted to develop one module (like DDL, DML, concurrency control, cursor, trigger, query processor etc). In the end, all these modules have to be integrated and made to work like a full-fledged DBMS.

So presently, we have to develop the whole gig in C++ (not VC++). So the problem is that we have very little idea of how to go about it, what classes to take and all, coz all the modules have to be basically compatible and so obviously, all the guys would have to start out with a set of common classes. So, its really very difficult right now.

It would be extremely GREAT, if anyone of you could just help me out a lil bit. Probably, you could tell me what all classes would be needed or stuff. Or probably you could send me a proper working model(Wish it was SO easy [;-)] ). BTW, I am supposed to be developing DDL and TRIGGER modules. Please do help me out as much as you can, and you will have one man who will worship you for the rest of his life (he he he).

I would be waiting for a reply soon
Thanx a ton

Yep, I will help you. Please mail me.
I have developed DBMS systems in C and C++ seperately and I have complete source code along with documentation (C++ only).

But sorry my friend I did not implement advanced DBMS topics and application is limited to query processing only!
