Could anyone of you here introduce me some tutorials or good books on database ? Especially those for beginners....Since I am absolutely new to this major and I find it quite hard for me to make some clear understandings of what my teacher explains in class, I would also like to ask for your instructions on how to learn it in an efficient way.....

Any of your ideas and explanation would be really greatly appreciated...:)

Thank you very much...

Regards,
-Nina.

Ahh Mylady Nina, so now you are diving head first into database programming ?. As if java and C++, and the occational XML issue wasn't enough to keep you occupied.

For books I might suggest something like "A First course in database systems" by Ullman and Widom. For tutorials, do some googleing.

Ohh, so you are attending some sort of Computer School. I'am sorry, but you don't strike me as beeing very technical minded.

As with any other subject, spend lots and lots of time experimenting. Understanding theory is always much much easier when you can relate to practical working code, that you wrote yourself. And of course stay focussed, on as few subjects as possible, and make sure you fully understand one subject before moving on to another subject.
Jumping from from one subject to another, without taking the time to really gain some experience and understanding, is super super bad.

Oh, I feel really ashamed of myself when I just heard someone talk about technology....Though I am into computer science, I know nothing more than a desktop which I can play game, watch movie, and chat...That is true...

I always want to stay put in one place....but they dont allow me to do that....
Perhaps it is me only...Nina s fault....Nina has to admit that Nina isnot the one who isable to keep her feelings bottled up like many others. This could be the main reason....

Once again, thank you khp...You always help me...it s really nice of you....I learn alot from you.......:)

Thank you very much...
