Highlighting a selected word in the hyperlink

I have this issue of selecting a certain word in a hyperlink section in an html page. During mouse over in a hyperlink word then the cursor turn as hand cursor and by double clicking them will bring you to another page. How can I change that behaviour? when the behaviour that I want to is just to select a certain word in the hyperlink then the word will be hylighten like a normal words do.
