Greetings:

Well I want to ask a question that many people have in their mind. When actually Microsoft is planning to make the .Net Framework practically Platform independent. I think many people use Java because of its platform Independence feature. After the evolution of .Net many people shifted to .Net languages as it is also platform independent (Theriotically) plus it is much faster RAD environments. So any body having any idea of the schedule of Microsoft of making .Net pratically platform Independent.

That is not about the schedule of Microsoft. Microsoft doesn't have anythink to do with implementation of CLR and .NET Framework on other platforms. However, there are some project that trying to implement it on linux and apple, I think... For example GO MONO project makes already possible to use .NET Framework on linux systems... However, I don't know anythink about it's state now...
