PerfMon samples

Does anyone know of any broader samples for PerfMon than those contained in MSDN? I'm looking for a sample that uses more than just PERF_COUNTER_COUNTER and PERF_COUNTER_RAWCOUNT, I need some time based statistics so preferably something that uses PERF_AVERAGE_TIMER. Any more detailed documentation would also be helpful as MSDN is basic to say the least.
