Hello,
I don't know if this is the correct forum to place this request, but I thought I'd give it a try.
This is a USB related question: Does anyone know how to Reset a USB device using either an API call or some other means? I am trying to simulate the unplugging and plugging in a USB device through my host application.
I've been told by the USB community and the VB community and the API community that this isn't possible, however, I thought I'd ask this forum. I've heard something about the WinDriver providing an API call that resets a USB device, but I don't know any more than that.
Does someone here in the C++ world know anything about this? I do not know C++, (or even C for that matter). I have downloaded Borlands C, 2.0 compiler and am starting from the beginning.
For that matter, let me ask this also... another goal is to learn Visual C++. Am I better off starting to learn "C" or "C++" to achieve this goal? I am very familiar with assembly language programming and also VB.
Thanks in advance!
George
