Question about faxing. Please help.

Hi guys.
My boss wants me to create a fax server solution for our company that connects to MS Outlook so we can send out faxes through email.
The problem though is at the moment, I'm still relatively new to .net and while I said I'd look into the project because I know my company is looking to downsize soon and doing any project above the norm is always a plus to help me keep my job, I honestly have no clue on where to begin with this program.
Can anyone give me the basic info I'm going to need to get myself going in the right direction or direct me to a site where I can find some info?
If you can give ANY info at all, I would be EXTREMELY appreciative.

Oops.
I just realized that if you don't know what a fax server solution is, you probably won't be able to provide any help.
So basically, my company wants a program that takes an email which was created in ms outlook and converts it to a document that can be sent to whatever fax numbers you want to send it to with a click of a button.
